Infected Ingrown Toe Nails

Ingrown Toenails are very painful and in some cases the only cure is a visit to the Chiropodist to remove the affected nail. To prevent Ingrown Toe nails make sure you cut the nails correctly straight across and do not cut down the sides of the nails ,This can cause spikes and jagged edges irratating the nail then it may become inflammed and then infected.
TOP TIP Warm salty water , soak your feet in salty water to keep clean and help fight infections.
When cutting toenails which are involuted (curved) or when cutting nails too short by accident the best tool to use is a blacks file which is a tool used by chiropodist to file down the side of the toenail edge making sure the nail is smooth and has no sharp spikes, BUY BLACKS FILES .

Thick toenails is a thickening of the entire nail plate. Most common it occurs on the big toe.
Thick toes nails can occur because of trauma, ie something being dropped onto toenail, or repeated trauma like playing football. The thick toenail becomes difficult to cut and may cause you to become anxious of its appearance.

How to cure ingrown toe nails .....
Ingrown toenails are painful believe me , ive had trouble on both bug toenails and ended up having a ingrown toenail surgery done and a sliver of nail removed from the sides of the ingrowing nail. But well worth it , i have never had trouble again, but for most people ingrown toenails can be resolved by careful nail trimming and if your nails are thick or brittle applying a nail softener like Gehwol Nail Softener to the nails. I always recommend this to my customers first the oil softens and reduces callous formation and usually allows the nail to grow enough to then recut the nail straight across instead of cutting the corners done.
